DESCRIPTION:There were two books which were tied for second among those nominated and voted upon by our members. Of these two we chose Longitude: The True Story of a Lone Genius Who Solved the Greatest Scientific Problem of His Time (1995) by Dava Sobel as the next one to read. \nThe British Book of the Year in 1997\, it is available in paperback for less than $14 and as an ebook for no more than $12. Since it is relatively short and we have an extra week to read it\, we are going to only spend one session on the book. So we will see you on the 28th at 93.277518 W (and 44.926556 N).
