We will conclude our discussion of the book we are currently reading, King Leopold’s Ghost: A Story of Greed, Terror, and Heroism in Colonial Africa, by Adam Hochschild. I hope that you have not become inured or negatively affected by the outrageous abuses which were committed by European colonists in the Congo. And I hope you will be coming to our last meeting on this book. If not, we have ways of persuading you.
