We will begin the book In the Time of Madness: Indonesia on the Edge of Chaos (2005) by Richard Lloyd Parry. A new paperback can be found for as little as $10, and an ebook is $8 – $11. For this meeting we will read the first two chapters, up to page 175.

The author says that this is a book about violence and fear. Do not let this put you off, however. You will find a safe haven in the caring arms of the MISF History Study Group.
