We will be reading and discussing Pax Romana: War, Peace and Conquest in the Roman World (Adrian Goldsworthy)

We are going back in time, to the 1st & 2nd centuries. We will be reading about the Roman Empire at its height, enjoying peace and prosperity. However, I think it safe to say it is not a warm and fuzzy description. If you have read a few history books you likely know “peace” does not mean the same thing to everyone at all times!

For this first session we will be reading through Part 8, The Rebellion.
